I love my iPad and I still love my Kindle. You CANNOT see the iPad in bright daylight and it will actually overheat and shut down in sunshine. That makes my Kindle indispensable for reading at the beach, park, pool and backyard. Kindle IS EASIER on my eyes, indoors or outdoors. The battery life is very important to a serious reader as is the accessibility and the availability of reading material. Love my iPad but not giving up my Kindle!
